Casey says Santorum changing intelligent design stance
http://www.post-gazette.com/pg/05356/626499.stm

Sen. Rick Santorum says he intends to withdraw his affiliation with the Thomas More Law Center, which defended the Dover Area School District's policy mandating the teaching of intelligent design in science classes dealing with evolution.

Santorum earlier praised the district for "attempting to teach the controversy of evolution."

But the day after a federal judge ruled the district's policy on intelligent design unconstitutional, the Republican senator said yesterday that he was troubled by testimony indicating religion motivated some board members to adopt the policy.

<snip>

Casey's spokesman, Larry Smar, said yesterday that Santorum's statements were "yet another example of 'Election Year Rick' changing his positions for political expediency."

2. Sanatorium is dropping ballast in prep for Pres run (?)
making himself slick and smooth, so he can run the tightest obstacle courses of conflicting principles with ease - hell, maybe he'll shave all his body hair or something (needs the head helmet, he's a Republican after all, and role model Jack Kemp isn't far from his constituency). They're all going to drop their bumps and unaerodynamic positions as they crowd at the asshole of the political center, pushing each other aside in their rush to climb in.
