Is Enron the "snowball" that causes an avalanche ?
After several years, Enron is back in the news. One of the Big Three has made a plea bargain and the other two are due in court next month. They are looking for another appeal.

But, if Cheney or Bush are implicated - and we know they are - but if they are implicated by any of the Big Three, then that could start an avalanche of reports that Cheney and Bush may be unable to escape. Because if the Enron story falls on Bush's head, then there are other secrets waiting to be exposed also. Bush could be in a very weakened condition and no one knows the secrets and crimes this bunch is hiding.

1. yodeleheeeehooooo!!!
I bet it will come out that Bush used wire tapping for insider trading. Wouldn't it be great if big business that has been a friend to the bush administration for all of this time is what gets him impeached?

2. Great Example of How Big Biz Has Too Much Power
over our government. The people as a collective should be determining the direction of this nation. Then again we have no eyes and ears since the media turned on us all.

3. We do recall the secret energy meeting at start of Adminsitration...
And most people do believe Enron was part of those secret meetings, even though Cheney has been successful in keeping that info secret.

4. Bush is the teflon don. The damage is done. The treasury looted.
Pockets lined. The country fucked. At this point punishment will be anti climactic. We are fucked.
And for folks who say never surrender... yawn. The U.S. is a second rate banana republic.

5. I doubt Shrub or Cheney will be implicated in this trial.
Remember, it's about what the officers knew and either ordered or approved, regarding the criminal acts of Enron. I can't see how it could be extended to what advice they gave to the WH or what favors they might have gotten (mostly looking the other way).

Getting to the WH stands a much better chance in the Abramoff trial than the Enron one.

9. There will never be an avalanche or any event that will bring down
this presidency. We have to get used to it- without a blow job or a sordid tale to tell the American people will never give a damn!!!!

Concenttrate on returning the party to the platform that will draw our natural borne constituents- working class Americans.

No more day dreaming about impeachment and lets get on with governance.

10. A blow job wouldn't bring him down.
He is so hard working he needs to relax now and then.

Besides Clinton did it and got away with it, so should *.

14. Well, maybe if it was live on prime time tv.
But it would have to be from a man, a Monica wouldn't do it.

11. Enron crashed in 2001.
That's years ago and Kenny-boy Lay is STILL NOT IN JAIL so don't hold your breath. Halliburton has gotten away with bloody murder during the entire BushCo regime, so why shouldn't Enron/Lay? They threw a few senior Enron officers to the lions (like Fastow) but Lay hasn't been touched (too closely connected to our emperor, and probably has some real dirt on Dubya too.) Our whorish, disgraceful media will be too busy covering whatever the new "Missing Girl in Aruba" story is when Enron heats up again. And Bush can always just pardon Kenny-boy. My heart goes out to the thousands of ordinary Enron employees who lost their jobs, their lifesavings, their pensions --- and that skunkfucker Lay is free and laughing.
