DNC: Instead of the lame slogan "American Can Do Better" why not...
Edited on Fri Jan-06-06 01:48 PM by flpoljunkie
the more forceful: "SUPPORTING THE PUBLIC INTEREST, NOT THE SPECIAL INTERESTS"

And urge our Democratic representatives in Congress to hammer it home with their united voices--and votes!

7. Actually, that would resonate very well
Victims of unsafe mines
Victims of Katrina
Victims of the new bankruptcy bill
Victims of job outsourcing

The list goes on and on

Post that every chance you get.

4. Take out the trash.
First, take out the Republican trash in Congress.

Then impeach the trash in the White House and take it out.

:dem: Fighting for you AND The Red, White & Blue :dem:

I really think we NEED a hard hitting campaign starting right now. When people keep hearing something positive over and over again, the start to react and respond to it. Something needs to GRAB their attention. I honestly think there are just too many "sheeple" still out there, and we need to get their attention. If they are going to sheep anyways, at least get them to be sheep with us, don't send them with the wolf! It is the COMMON man/woman that you need to reach, and the young adults. This is what I liked about Kerry/Edwards .. they appealed even to the younger crowd. I think this is because they were more in touch with their own kids. John Edwards even had an audience with the teenagers. Both were very personable and well spoken. Being able to articulate a point to someone without becoming flabbergasted and losing your composure is a GOOD thing! Shrubya gets this way when asked anything harder than "what's your name, George"? .... "you have 30 seconds, George"... "I'll give you a hint, George"!.... "it starts with a "G", George"! (thanks CHEECH MARIN & TOMMY CHONG!!), but I digress....
We just have to make the sleeping masses wake up and SEE what is really happening. I wonder sometimes what would happen if the republican majority pulled their collective heads out of their collective asses and took a look around at what was REALLY happening??? Do you think it would change them?? Probably not on the top level of the sleaze chain, but maybe a few lower ones. I bet if we could get the "sheeple" to do this, we would change a lot more. See? We HAVE to open their eyes for them. Get their attention and keep it! Then, for the ones who just want to remain "sheeple", let it be! Just don't forget to bring them into OUR fold and protect them! Let's go now! Quit reading this and go out and gather up your sheep! PEACE!! :hippie:

17. Great post, and I love your energy! Hope there are a lot more folks out
there who feel like you! Great to have you here on DU! And I agree that we need to reach the common man/woman and speak to their concerns, and that Kerry/Edwards were a great team!

Let's hope the AP poll today that gives the Dems a huge lead in the generic Congressional race is a sign of the trouble the Republicans will face in November. Dems lead 49-36--a huge lead, and very bad news for the Rethugs!

21. Thanks for the welcome...
I hope we can reach the people. The mere thought of Democracy dying scares the hell out of me! What if he tried to declare himself Chimperor for Life!?!?!?! .... I have an exit strategy already! :hide:
 3 of them actually! Canada, Mexico or Cuba!
Seriously though, does that thought ever keep anyone else awake at night? Democrats have our own war to fight, and that war is right here in our own back yards. Your yard, my yard.. everyone's yard, and that yard is our Country! We need to wage a war against injustice in our Government, wage a war against untruth in our Government, wage a war against Elitist Rule in our Government, wage a war against corruption in our Government, wage a war against criminals in our Government, wage a war to educate the people, wage a war to liberate the people, wage a war to regain our respect as a Nation, wage a war to once again become the Land of the FREE and the Home of the BRAVE! (eat your hearts out Al & Jesse!! I preached it first!!)
Geez... a simple "thank you" reply turned into another call to the Democrats to unite & fight for ALL of our rights!
