Planting IMPEACH BUSH flyers on my lunch break, a heartwarming story

I got 200 copies of the IMPEACH BUSH flyer from Kinkos last night.

It was really cold today and as I headed up the street on my lunch break I could see some of the free tabloid boxes that sit on the sidewalk still had the IMPEACH BUSH flyers that I had placed in their display windows the night before as I walked to my car. It was so cold I hated taking off my glove to place flyers in the tabloid boxes but you can't do it with a glove on. I had done about 20 when I got to the very crowded bus stop area in front of the library. Among the young African Americans hanging out and or waiting for the bus, was one middle aged, middle class white woman. I put my flyer in a box and turned to head into the library. She said to me, "who are you with?" I said "nobody I'm just putting these flyers in the display windows of these tabloid boxes because I think it;s important to be the media." I asked her if she wanted one and she said yes. She said, "Oh, it's a chain flyer, I have lots of friends who would like this." I said "let me give you my first generation copy" and I gave her my first generation print out copy, so her photocopies would be crisp. We continued to discuss the flyer as she did not believe the Bush Dictator quote was real. I assured her it was. She said, "It's really scary." I told her I also put flyers in the current events books and mags in the library and headed inside to tuck folded copies.

of only $.40. Also known as way less than a Starbucks. It is so easy. You can put them in books, leave them in a grocery cart, tack it to a bulletin board, put it inside your freeptard neigbors newspaper (very evil) stick it under a windshield wiper of a car with a Kerry sticker (it is a chain flyer) or a Bush sticker (just trying to be helpful)

I've been putting up impeach stickers wherever I go. It feels good to do. But more than that, it lets people know that others are pissed off too.

Love your flyer though and I wouldn't mind a change of pace.

24. I think the photo in combo with the very bold headline makes it very

eyecatching. Someone else in my city does small, text only messages in a courier font and if it weren't for the fact that I am stuffing tabloid box windows that this person had alrwady gotten to I don't think I would ever notice these.

As long as you are going to blow the 39 cents anyway, you might as well spread some information around as well. Also, those business reply envelopes can educate a lot of people. If they are from what I consider worthy groups that I can't donate to this month, I don't use their business reply envelopes. But a lot of people at mail response centers for credit card companies et al might well find their dull days of endless envelope opening brighted up by one of these flyers, or other fine edumacational materials available on the net.

Just a suggestion, but maybe this would be a worthwhile Research Forum subject. Current Edumacational Leaflets--Spread Them Around.

20. One small critisism....

It's too bad the flyer doesn't spell out that there's no restraint on wire-tapping, that they can tap the line of terrorists are phoning and go to the court AFTER.

I think there's a lot of confusion on that point and Bush & crew keep claiming it's neccessary to protect Americans and they're selling that successfully.

"Impeach Bush" is great, but there's no education value in it IMO.

but not everything has to be a quote. The "impeach Bush" part isn't a quote.

Maybe at the end instead of the pic (or as well as) something like

"They could spied on terrorists with the FISA court without any security sacrafice"
or
"He could have used the FISA court and still spied on the terrorists."

Or something to that effect. Perhaps shorter, but with that meaning.

I don't know, I just wish all Americans understood that all thier claims about needing to do this to protect America was BS. They're selling the BS, and it's being bought.

38. I write IMPEACH BUSH in the fog on freezer sections..

In most food stores and convenience stores you can write it in reverse, on the inside of the glass door, so it looks right from the outside and walk away :)

We are turning the tide.. everyday more people are learning what we know... it took time for us to learn .. just keep working on it.. GREAT JOB with the flyers!

39. OMG that is such a great idea, I might float some of my flyers in a puddle

because morans won't want to get their fingers wet plucking them out. One of the things I do when I use the Super 77 spray adhesive by 3M is glue flyers to dumpsters because people may be reluctant to try to peel it off because of the germ factor.

...just cleave tight to the posting rules of your educational institution (some have strict guidelines about posters) and consider tucking the flyers into books and place in popular free magazine places (a lot of places around campuses have places where free mags are offered.)
