The Sunnis in Iraq are at least putting up a fight as they go down. Dems seem to be content to "hold hearings" to determine why we're going down.

Our leaders should be screaming bloody murder. Filibuster, boycott, close down congress, stop this train no matter what it takes! Fuck, I'm frustrated.

And you are right, they don't. I think the career, 30 plus year, blue-blood, democratic politicians are real cozy where they're at. They don't even have to work hard at not working anymore, they just keep saying, "re-elect us so we can protect you from those rascally republicans", and people keep believing them and keep thinking things will get better in a few more years, then a few more years, then a few more years, then a few more years, then a few more years, then a few more years, ooops.
In the meantime they are making comfy deals with those same "rascally republicans", saying "We'll let you have this, so long as we can have that, and you promise not to go on FOX News and say bad stuff about us" and they're saying right now "Oh by the way, don't let the Alito hearings make you think we're serious....heck no our good republican friends, it's just an act and we promise, no filibusters".

9. They Say It's Up To The People Of A Country To Revolt!

To make our discontent known we must REVOLT! But nothing happens day in and day out. We sit idly by fuming and flaming. I don't know what to do anymore myself. I've been so outspoken and active and even though I find many who agree with me, NOTHING HAPPENS!!

14. Well, FIRST We Need The REVOLUTION!!

I've made mention of this many times, mostly for effect, but now I'm serious in my thinking that Revolution is all that will work!

As a female, I'm not that worried about the over-turning of Roe... what worries me so much more is the fact that our Constitution is becoming nothing more than another piece of paper that can and is being shredded!

If Roe gets over-turned I really think there will be a huge back-lash. Too many will see the effects almost immediately and they aren't going to like living without it. If I'm wrong, then we may as well bring back the "chastity belts!" Of course, this in turn will profit many prostitutes and the "happy hooker" will be the norm again! MEN ARE NOT going to like having to own up to being PaPa when not ready, and women aren't going to "put out" so easily! There will be some very sexually uptight people out there. I suppose you might construe that as a plus to the "just say no" policy, but if you think on it a bit... SEX has been around for a long long time, and they say Prostitution is the "oldest" profession.

J. Turley, no liberal himself, even thinks Alito SHOULD NOT be appointed, but even he isn't being taken seriously. I too am totally frustrated, but along with that is a healthy dose of outright FEAR!!

On a more hopeful note, Watergate started with a bungled burglary. An insignificant happening that grew and grew. With all the MAJOR happenings that haven't taken down the chimp, maybe history will repeat itself. It will be a small seemingly unimportant event that will grow like a cancer on the chimp.

Yes, I WAS there during Watergate... kept newspaper clippings up until last year. I faithfully clipped everyday and filled a huge Art Paper tablet of the news. Added to that, Newsweek & Time publications. Got rid of my newspaper clippings, but still have the mags!

He collects lots of photos, you collected lots of news clippings. It was my attempt at humor, but you had to have seen the movie to catch it.

Obviously, being funny is not my strong suit. Forget I brought it up and GO TO SLEEP!!

23. I DID Go To Bed... Didn't Get Your Reply... BUT I Did See That Movie!

One of Robin William's less "funny" movies! Pretty sad actually. In the end I think they actually put him away!

I do see YOUR humor here, but I'm not really that bad! But I do have an addiction to politics and do get carried away many times. And depressed and morose and decidedly angry and extremely aggressive about STUPID people who follow willy-nilly STUPID people in power!

I just logged on this AM to post something that I found not only DISTURBING, but also happy that the word got out.

Just a little while ago I had CNN on because I couldn't STAND the LOVE FEST at C-Span regarding Alito, and to my surprise they had taken a poll about the "meanest" cities toward the Homeless in the U.S.A.! The city that connects to mine, SARASOTA, FL was NUMERO UNO!! Now I feel so much better!

Sarasota is full of Repukes.... 6 to 1 in the lead over Dems and I've known for many many years that they don't have much of a heart, but NUMBER ONE! WOW!! I've been vindicated!!!

Now I'm going to start a thread about it... not that it will get much play, just HAD to share this with others though!
