1. While you are at it
Tell him he's pretty weak as a prez if Clinton still holds all that power and influence.

3. I hear you - but if you're sick of it, do something about it
When someone tells you "9/11 changed everything," tell them, "Bullshit. BUSH changed everything!"

That's my style, at least. Someone tells me, "Have you forgotten 9/11?" I respond with "Have you forgotten the First Amendment?"

I could amend that now to include the Fourth Amendment (domestic spying), the Eighth Amendment (Abu Ghraib, Gitmo), the Ninth and Tenth Amendments (this whole Unitary Executive bullshit), and so on. I guess I could just say "Have you forgotten about the Constitution?"

5. First, point out that when they were kids, saying
"but MOMMEEE, Billy did it too!" didn't get them off the hook because Mom knew two wrongs never made a right and co criminals didn't get one of the miscreants off the hook and they should have figured that stuff out by the time they were five.

Why didn't 1993 change everything? The same building got bombed, people died, and there was a mess and a lot of hysteria about terrorism. Oh, right, a Democrat was in charge and the people resposible for that one were identified, hunted down, tried, convicted, and thrown into prison. Where is bin Laden? THAT is what changed on 9/11. You put a boob into power who doesn't care about terrorism and will let the terrorists go free.

That's how you answer these pinheads.

7. I know
My husband works for a contractor who says "911 changed everythng" and thinks whatever Bush wants to do is fine. When my husband stated that Bush ignored warnings before the attack, his boss merely said, "It was Clinton's fault." There was absolutely no way of reasoning with him at all. I'd hate to think what might happen if this fellow found out our religous faith.

11. It's Clinton's fault that Pinhead** ignored the warnings pre-9/11?
These people are incapable of thinking for themselves, period. So by that logic the first attack on the WTC was Bush Sr. fault, yet I've heard the morans blame Clinton for that attack too. For this group, it's always easier to blame someone else.

8. Ask People If They Are Afraid Arabs Are Gonna Fly Planes Into Their Head
Edited on Sat Jan-28-06 10:19 AM by KharmaTrain
You get the strangest looks, but then re-frame the question as to what are these people scared of? Do you think the "strongest country" in the world should live like scared little children...afraid of people thousands of miles away...and then what are they gonna do once they "destroy" this country?

When you start the wheels turning as to the "why" of being scared, it's amazing the responses you start getting. Some people actually start to think a bit. Also, I suspect a bit of "chicken little" syndrome has set in...people are getting tired of hearing every day that there's some massive threat conducted by some wierd looking guys in beards living in caves.

Remember one thing about this regime...the more they lie and bloviate, the more they're losing the public relations battle.

Cheers...

19. Yeah, let's do something Repukes do NOT: USE LOGIC.
Instead of striking fear and yelling BOOGA BOOGA, make these people think.

Terrorists aren't going to bomb Ashland or West Chester, Ohio. Face facts: Terrorists aren't going to attack CLEVELAND Ohio. Nor will they attack ANY "Fly-Over" state. Nor will they attack Florida (just train there, right?) or North or South Cackalackee or any one of the Fattest Cities In Texas. Stop. It. NOW.

Ask if they ever wondered why Osama isn't making any videos anymore, but merely an unverifiable voice on tape. Then ask THIS: if Osama was indeed responsible for 9/11 and he's STILL lurking around four years after the fact, then logically, why would hearing any "scare-or" message from him give you more CONFIDENCE that this "waronterr" is really WORKING? WHY is it a PLUS for Bewsh that DOHsama Bin Goldstein (wouldn't use that surname, they wouldn't get the reference) is supposedly still alive?

And the whole "Saddam" thing? Who INSTALLED, FUNDED and ARMED Saddam? Yes, Saddam tortured his own people, but shaking Rummy the Dummy's hand the whole time he was doing it. And ask about the Iraqis. Iraq did not attack us on September The Eleventh (Copyright 2001, RNC. All Rights Reserved). Iraq has NEVER attacked us. No Iraqi citizen has ever caused harm to anything American. What exactly should we have been WORRIED about as far as the Iraqis went? Were they going to hop onto several thousand or so planes, start carpet bombing our shores, fly into the Blight House and destroy our government? Logically, where was the danger? Where was THERE EVER DANGER?

9. Amazing how they have it both ways: If 9-11 *did* change
everything, they why do they accuse CLINTON of not doing enough (in the period when there was no national will). AND in a triple whammy, when they want to do something, they claim CLINTON did it, too. So which of the 3 whiches is it?

What about the war in IRAQ, jackasses? Huh? Did you forget that 2300 of our soldiers have died meaninglessly for your stupid ego and your corporate donor's pocketbooks? Huh, you selfish assholes? Did you think about the fact that you're exploiting people's ignorance and stupidity in this stupid war?

NO.

Now they're calling my guys John and Teddy back in MA where I moved here from, "traitors." they call us rank and file anti-war types the same thing though, so i guess it's a badge of honor.
