President Cheney ? ?
I've been involved in a number of "Impeach Bush" conversations and I agree 100% that this joker should have been impeached when his big lie about Iraq was exposed.

BUT.... what about a President Cheney? If impeachment proceedings start against Bush, will they include Cheney?

If Bush was impeached and not Cheney, what do you think would happen?
Would Cheny be worse than Bush? Would Congress stand by and allow Cheney to tell the bald faced lies as in the past? Would Cheney start another war?

How soon (Not, will) would we be under martial law? In general I just want some opinions on what the country would be like it this happened. Frankly, I have nightmares about what these two will do in the near future anyway.

1. What makes you sure it isn't President Cheney now?
Anyone who really thinks that Raisin Brain is in charge needs their head examined

9. RE: What makes you sure it isn't President Cheney now?
I do think that Cheney is running the show, has been all along & has been hampered by having to get George to do as he says. But what would he do differently if he acquired the absolute presidential power that Bush has seized for himself?

Would he go for what amounts to an absolute dictatorship?
We know that he has literally & physically flipped a bird to many people.

How do you think Congress would react to Dictator Dick?

3. Cheney would be MUCH WORSE than Shrub!
Shrub is easily flustered and unsure of himself, and I think, being handled by others in the WH. Cheney is extremely arrogant, very willing to take charge, give orders, and expect they will be carried out without asking any questions. Woe to those who ask any!

4. We shouldn't
not impeach Bush because Cheney might be worse. If Bush committed impeachable offenses and I think he did then he should go. Maybe he'll drag Cheney down with him.

One neo-con at a time. Let's start with Bush.

7. Cheney's such a power broker right now that he's more or less the
president.

Let's skip all the hassle of impeachment proceedings and ship their sorry asses to Afghanistan. If the terrorist threat is as grave as they suggest, we need them in person to go find bin Laden.

Smoke 'em out, boys.

Afghanistan
That's a good idea. Let AWOL George finish the NG duty and let Cheney serve because he does not have better things to do now.

10. Cheney is going to resign for "health reasons" so he can cash in
he has to cash in his Halliburton stock options and it's not going to look so good if he does it while in office, plus he is about to be implicated in the Plame case. he will resign for "health" reasons and then retire to his recently purchased MD estate to count his dough until his ticker gives out completely.
