White House refuses detailed meetings W/ Abramoff - top White House aides
Bush set limits yesterday on White House cooperation in three political disputes, He also said that he will block White House aides from testifying about the slow federal response to Hurricane Katrina, and that he will not release official White House photos of himself with former Republican lobbyist Jack Abramoff.

Sen. Joseph I. Lieberman (D-Conn.), a supporter of Bush on foreign policy, has accused the White House of undermining the probe by refusing to detail the role of White House officials.

5. Stonewall...What Did You Expect
This game hasn't even begun. If you thought Nixon used executive privilidge like a shield, this regime will take it to the extreme. The unity exective all but calls for it. There's not to be any quarter given...and any investigation, no matter how mandated, will be fought at every step and delayed for as long as possible. The endgame is to get so many lawsuits bogged down in the courts as to slow or taint investigations and buy as much time as possible for the foxes to continue fleecing the henhouse.

Personally, I worry about the days when this regime gets really caged. If it feels its losing power and sees itself truly endagered, how it will react to hold onto its power at all costs.

10. Yeah, it's been my experience that ovaries are tougher than balls.
Ever seen a woman doubled over because someone kneed her in the ovaries?

9. Bush knows that even "highly principled" Repubs like Specter
and Lindsey Graham would not vote to impeach him, even knowing he is in violation of those principles. Sadly, they will rationalize anything to stay in power. And Bushco is happy to exploit that.
