Odd ad for Duke Cunningham's seat...
My BIL sent me this transcript of a commercial he just saw for the Republican running for Duke Cunningham's vacated seat in CA-50:

"Peace through strength won the Cold War, and peace through
strength will defeat Islamic terrorism."

Female voiceover: "Alan Uke"

"To defeat terrorism, we must support our troops with the best
equipment possible, expel foreign agitators from U.S. soil,
improve intelligence capabilities so we can destroy Al Qaeda's
leadership, and better prepare for bioterrorism attacks that
could kill millions."

"I'm Alan Uke, I'm running for Congress, and I approved this
message."

He was particularly alarmed by the "expel foreign agitators." I, too, would like an explanation.

1. Sounds like the typical far-right
I'm guessing he means round up all the Arabs and throw them out of the country

3. He's just talking about brown people in general
Mexicans, "ragheads" - they're all the same to SoCal Wingnuts. immigration is a hot topic on Cunningham's turf and if he can lump it into a national defense issue, Uke is on his way to a trifecta.

what a tool.

7. This is just bizarre
But a prelude as to what the talking points will be for the repugs.
Very interesting that they are going to focus on fear tactics again.

8. Yeah, interesting that "ethical leadership" doesn't enter into the ad.
