End of the Spear, controversy over gay actor

an evangelical film company made a movie about some missionaries who were killed in 1956 by an indigenous tribe in Ecuador. The families of the boys later forgave, converted and befriended the tribe members.

One of the stars in the movie is gay. Openly gay. And there is a controversy in the evangelical community about whether to support the movie or not.

I say good...let them eat each other.

4. I worked in the studios for 30 years and

I only worked with a couple of gay actors. I know the rumnor is that there are but there really isn't.

Percentage wise, there are just as many gays at the studios as there is in the rest of the society. I never said "there are no gay actors in the studios".

film studios, theater troupes, and the military would be better-than-average places to begin.

in the time I worked there. Gays weren't anymore prevalent there than they were in my private life.

your experience was.

But if you were to ask around film studios, city theater groups, and military bases, I believe you would discover a significantly larger percentage of lesbians and gays than in a given suburb of St. Louis.

I'm not knocking YOU, guidod, but some of the rest of us have been around the block also. The Hollywood studios overflow with gay folks. Maybe look into Victor Russo's excellent book, THE CELLULOID CLOSET.

saying that I've been around the block more than anybody else. My brother is gay so I've been around lesbians and gays most of my life. He said that there is more gays in the mlitary than I would ever guess. With my experiences in the studios, I didn't find it any different than any other part of my life.
