Joe Lieberman: "I've studied this carefully and I agree with the President that this sale is not a threat to our national security."

Ben Nelson: "Ditto".

3. I Give It Until The End Of The Week
Edited on Wed Feb-22-06 11:31 AM by Beetwasher
I really, really actually hope this does happen. I hope the WH blackmails, threatens, whatever and these scumbag lackey congressmen change their mind on this (Lieberman included). It would be the best thing that could happen for the Dems.

Yup, the end of the week so they can get their lackey's on board for the Sunday yak fest.

Edited on Wed Feb-22-06 11:35 AM by canichelouis
Don't remember where, but considering I don't have cable it had to be one of the old standbys.

13. my short and pissy letter to Lieberman
Homeland Security? With people like you in office it is should be called Homeland INsecurity. No country should be in charge of "protecting" our ports other than our own. On this issue, sir, you are completely wrong on. Bush is trying to put the fox in charge of the hen house, and you are going to roll over like a lazy dog and let him. What a good little democrat you are (pat, pat).

14. I'm waiting for this spin
"If we turn over our ports to the UAE, they will have a vested interest in it's security and it will be less likely target for terrorists...."

it's all part of the ownership society - where someone else owns all of society
