1. I'm okay with it
If you can't make your own mind up while in college, you really shouldn't be there

2. It's an opportunity to recruit
competent Officers.

We do want competent Officers to lead don't we?

Its not like they're chasing them down and forcing them to join.

8. Agreed...
They shouldn't be in high schools, but they are, en masse.

5. Eliminate The Source of their Objections
The military could easily eliminate the source of the law schools' objections
and improve their recruiting substantially by ceasing to discriminate against
gay people. We are at war, so why are we turning away willing, qualified
applicants and even expelling highly-trained service people for being gay?

The poll is gone.
They're on to Pat Tillman now, but it's broken (0 votes after I voted).

6. Dissenting views should also be presented.
Balance would be good.

7. No one forces the school to take the federal dollars.
This seems pretty non-controversial, especially since all 8 justices that heard the case presented a unanimous opinion.

9. I hope this brings more light
to the substandard Don't Ask Don't Tell Policy.

I do not think that this issue gets enough attention and with over 10,000 military members forced to separate from the military since the policy began in 94. How about abolishing this sh*t a** policy and then they wouldn't have to recruit as many individuals to their army.

10. I think the ruling on this matter is sound. Fed $ = Fed rules
It's the cornerstone of federal regulation of conduct otherwise reserved to the states. If you take federal money, you take federal rules.

My problem is not that they have recruiters, but that they don't really allow the loyal opposition to recruiters to function similarly on campus.

I like freedom, and that means military gets to send recruiters, and those who disagree get to protest military, get to argue with them, get to express themselves freely to the potential recruits.
