and ask * to resign or they will move to impeach him? I believe that time is getting nearer.

1. Hardly outside...
The realm of real possibility. I have been pondering that myself, of late.

2. In a mid-term election year ...
... and with a presidential election just two years away, it's every man for himself.

3. The more likely scenario.

Who needs a messy impeachment when you might be able to convince the guy to leave.

But first, Cheney has to have "health related problem" and decide he wants to spend more time hunting shit.

8. Yes. Do you wanna start that thread, or should I?
Really. I'll do it if you don't want to.

5. A group of Republicans? Are you serious?
The only group more spineless than the Democrats are the Republicans, and that's saying something. Sure, we'll get some bluster from McCain or Specter or Snowe or one of the other marginally "good" Republicans, but as soon as Junior stamps his little foot, they fall back in line faster than the Rockettes. Bush has never had to veto a bill sent to him by this Congress; he's always gotten his way on anything he's even remotely interested in. The Republicans ask Stupidhead to resign? Not a chance in hell.

6. Forever...
...sorry. They're not interested in elections, they own the voting machines. They're not interested in the public well being, they think they're above the fray and struggle for esixtence. They're not capable of rational thought, look at who they are, a bunch of screw balls.

Nope, it won't be the Republican crew that does the trick. It will be total public disrespect for * and his crew. He'll be battered by some more revelations, 911 calumny, the swtolen elections. And then he'll go for health reasons. Oh, somebody will deliver the message but not until we get a vice president in there who is "easy to dance to."

It's a rigged game. They'll keep power, moderate their greed a bit, in a cosmetic sort of way. And the CM will puff and spin with, "oh, what a great system we have."

You don't hand over power, you just change the actors. This is the biggest and best show on earth.

In 2001 there was 1 vote against the Patrioit Act. In 2006, there were 10 votes against it.

Things won't change until we get in full tilt opposition mode. Then it will be a bunch of angry Democrats demanding that * resign in front of a 2.0 mlilion person crowd on the Capitol Mall.

...or something like this...

7. Not long. My guess? June.
Runner up: late April/May (oh, please, Gods, before my birthday--that would be the best. present. ever.). Seriously.
