Will you still bash the Dem Party .......
..... if, after the 06 elections we have a 51-49 Democratic Senate and a 220-215 House?

..... if, after the 06 elections we have John Conyers as commitee chair?

..... if, after the 06 elections, Henry Waxman gets to ask his brazillian questions with the questionee under oath?

..... if, after the 06 elections, we start the next Congress with a Speaker Pelosi and a Leader Reid?

Bash an action or a statement, sure. Bash a particular Dem if you must. But face it ..... today .... here and now ..... in Realityville ..... the Democratic Party is our last best hope.

Let's get some control first. Then we can work toward change in the party if that's an appropriate thing to do ..... but please ..... let's not make ourselves any weaker than we might already be.

2. The thing about being Democrat and Liberal is that you can
bash whomever you want.
You don't have to tow the party line like the repukes.

3. But you do have to
get your candidates elected and gain a majority in Congress. Otherwise, the rest is pretty irrelevant.

7. Agreed, but call a bum a bum regardless of the party affiliation
This is why primaries are so important. To insure the best party candidate is on the ballot against the republican party

4. Yes that's true ... but at some point .....
..... the freedom - encouragement, actually - to do that gets caught up in the Law of Diminshing Returns.

6. If they deliver, no. If they fight for our interests, no.
However, I remember when they had control of all three branches in '92 and blew it.
