My own grandparents came to Ellis Island, passed their physicals, and were given legal residency. NO immigration lawyers got rich off them. That set of grandparents came after the heyday of "No Irish Need Apply" but they did face discrimination. They did work hard & raised a family that did well by the USA.

Noone, not even George Bush is encouraging elimination of the 11 million illegal immigrants who are in this country. They are just talking about stoping more from coming to this country illegally and what to do with the 11 million that are already here. What Hitler did in Germany is much different than what Bush and the Republicans are trying to do here. Even if Bush and the Republicans did decide to deport all the 11 million illegal immmigrants that would be totally different than what Hitler did. In the case of Bush and the Republicans the way the 11 millions illegal immigrants came to this country was illegal based on U.S. law and the government has a right to punish them and deport them from this country. In addition, if Hitler had just decided to deport the Jews, even though it still would have been unwarranted, that would have been better than what he did do to the Jews. I do not like Bush and the Republican and I think some comparisons to Hitler; however, this comparison goes to far.
