Who picks the topics in the House/Senate? Do they HAVE to

keep spewing about immigration? Who's working to reclaim our civil liberties and what's up with our government spying on us? Also, how many weeks off will all these esteemed members get for Memorial Day? :eyes:
I imagine the majority party sets the agenda, and it's fairly obvious no one wants a discussion of anything that might affect Americans.:banghead:

1. The majority party does set the agenda.

Their committee chairmen decide what bills get to the floor and the majority whip takes care of the members 'talking points'. The Republican "leadership" decide on all procedural matters and run roughshod over the rest.

In answer to your second question, no matter which Democrat works on it or how much he or she cares, nothing happening until we get back control.
