Fran Drescher, (The Nanny) wants to get into politcs
Drescher, the nasily women on the hit show The Nanny, wants to someday run for either Senator or Congresswoman from the state of New York. She is against the death penalty, and she has frequently criticized the Bush administration.

2. She's pretty nice to look at.
I suppose that will get her a few votes.

I wonder how smart she is.

7. I wouldn't kick her out of my bed but she would have to promise not to
talk. That voice would drive me bonkers after a few minutes.

8. Hi, yellowcanine. It appears we have more in common than our
usernames. :-) I wouldn't kick her out of bed either, but I have to say I'd let her talk all she wanted. When I first became aware of her and heard that voice, I had to laugh. It just didn't seem to go with those sultry good looks. Anyway, for me the "looks vs. voice thing" is a big part of her comic appeal. And if she does eventually end up in the House or Senate, I'd love to hear her debating on the floor. That would really be a hoot! Gotta love her!

:hi:

11. "voice like a screeching brake"
I came across this picture on one of her fan sites and thought you might appreciate it. Click screeching brake.

14. Just an FYI, her voice is fake...
Edited on Fri May-26-06 12:04 AM by Solon
I'm not saying its a special effect on TV or something, rather its a voice she "forces" out. Its not how she talks normally, believe me on that, seen her in interviews and its like the difference between night and day.

9. MSNBC should hire her.
They could set up a show like Crossfire, with her and Rita Cosby - How annoying would THAT be???

12. Very Intelligent, Very Personable
Nice to look at, and a cancer survivor, so she knows from suffering and compassion.

But oh, that laugh. It removes the calcium from your spine.

13. And she's ACTUALLY from NY !!!
Some DUers have suggested that Fran should get a place on Staten Island and run against Vito Fossella.
