Richard Wolffe: Rummy may still go

On Countdown tonight, Wolffe said Zarqawi's demise could give the White House the opportunity people want to dump him

I don't think I buy that one.

1. He may not be at DOD any longer, but he will still be involved
Cheney, Condi, Rummy, Alberto and their pals at Team BushCo are ruining America quite sucessfully. They want to drown the government in a bathtub. THe government is 'We the People' and we are the ones who are gasping for air.

2. He won't be there in the same way that Tom DeLay will no longer be there
...in other words, he'll be there.

DeLay was given a prime opportunity to stand before the cameras yesterday and take a parting shot at Democrats, lamenting "all the Republicans could have accomplished" if Democrats hadn't challenged them. Then he said "to their credit, they DID challenge us..."

It was a sick little speech from a sick little man, but it let you know that he'd walk out one door and straight into another one.

Rummy will be set up in a nice, comfy "undisclosed location," away from the media glare, but you're right...he'll still be plugged in.

:patriot:
