Did you see John Murtha on Meet the Press this a.m.?
Edited on Sun Jun-18-06 10:56 AM by patrice
I’m glad he said he’d run for Majority Leader if he gets the chance. It shows that the Enlisted Military is represented politically with integrity. The Pentagon and Government bureaucracies represent themselves quite nicely in the “private” sector. Murtha could be at the table and speak with legitimacy for “rank-and-file” Military who are not well represented in ALL of the Difficulties they’ve had to bare, including the majority of the responsibility for Abu Ghraib, for Bush’s War. The majority of the responsibility for the fact that BushCo has no plan outside of Stay Forever.

1. Loved his comment about how easy it is for Rove to sit on his
fat behind and support the war.

4. The Enlisted ARE in a Very Bad Place!!!
It isn't cowardice to say so. It is Brave to resist Dangerous People like Rove and Cheney, who've never put themselves into danger for what they assume others Must. That makes the U.S. War Slaves.

He's a good patriot, and I think the Dems would stand more in unity with his leadership. :kick:

8. Murtha
Being from Pgh I've known him for years. The thing is that he is conservative on some issues, but it is an honest opinion and he tells the truth about how he comes to his views. The dems. are a diverse group, it is our strength as well as our weakness, but never forget that our basic ideals are rooted in fairness to the average joe or joan.
