Is it possible that Rove made a deal that will hold off his indictment
until 2007? Just a thought.

1. He's not being indicted because he didn't commit perjury.
End of story. Fitzgerald isn't bringing other relevant charges, for goodness knows what reason. But Libby's being charged with perjury, and Rove didn't perjure himself, so he's not.

7. It's certainly a possibility,
but I wouldn't say that I think it's probable. Not directly, anyway.

Leopold, like a good journalist, has not identified his source. It's more likely, in my opionion, that his source was probably the victim of a molehunt.

6. Rove committed perjury alright, but then he recanted and cooperated.
That's why Fitz either didn't file an indictment or one remains sealed.

3. I've thought that perhaps he got off ...
... in exchange for dirt on Cheney.

5. I think many of us thought the same, but...
would YOU want to cross Cheney? Not me.

8. My gut feeling is that he made a deal to testify against Libby.
A semi-educated guess, at best.

9. Read at least four Dem lawyer opinions about the possible scenarios
of what happened and you can form your own opinions. The ones about immunity are intriguing. Start with firedoglake.com

12. Won't indict him as of now
Because, if he's under indictment, he can't be Fitzgerald's star witness. However, if his testimony in court deviates any from his grand jury appearances, Patrick is gonna drop the hammer on his butt.
