Front line on PBS
Did anyone happen to watch Front line last night on PBS? The program was titled The Dark Side, it laid out the story to the run up to the Iraqi war.

I thought it was well done but no surprises for anyone that has kept up, but for the uneducated it was very informative.

2. Yes, I watched it and thought it was very well done but most of all.......
.....it was scary as hell to think we have that strong and ingrained a shadow government within the government. Neocons don't seem to mind everyone knowing that Cheney and Rumsfeld are in fact running the whole show. Very scary.

3. I found parts of it troubling in that
it felt like some of the statements were regurgitations of old propoganda themes.

There were parts at the beginning, but for example, they talk about how information was taken from the guy they captured at Tora Bora and verified by checking with the INC (Iraqui National Congress) as if the INC had any credibiility.

Other issues popped out to me as being a line of crap, but then there would be elements that were horribly damning to the cabal.

Do you folks agree that some of this was re-hashing of propoganda that anyone who has followed this stuff closely knows immediately is rubbish?

5. The show was pointing out the propoganda....
not supporting it. The whole purpose of the
program was to debunk and expose the neocons
for the bull they fed us.

They did an excellent job.

7. YES!

I thought the same thing exactly! The idea of going into Iraq was not a birth child of 911....as they claimed. The attack of Iraq was an old idea....even back to * 41's administration. I think PBS' presentation was not nearly damning enough to the current administration and only subtly suggested that the intelligence was cherry picked. I can't remember if they brought up The Downing Street Memos.

Edit: DAH! PBS not CNN

4. Unfortunately...
the "uneducated" usually don't watch PBS. Shows like this need to be on the mainstream. HA! Like that will happen.

8. I want Freepers and other Neocons slithering around this site
to know that the Frontline has documented each notorious lie that led us to war and how this administration manipulated reality to make their "case" for war. Every element of the Bush/Cheney argument is taken apart. These lies will not stand up to the test of history and the neocons will never be able to keep this secret from the rest of the world. The game is up. The emperor is naked. Case closed. The question now is how do we get out without the Middle East imploding? (Forget about the US exiting with any kind of dignity or integrity. The Cheney/Rumsfeld cabal has guaranteed this can never happen. When the end comes, we'll be lucky to get any of troops out of there alive.)
