Here are the words:

"I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will faithfully execute the office of President of the United States, and will to the best of my ability, preserve, protect, and defend the Constitution of the United States."

It doesn't say a damned thing about 'protectin' the 'murkin people'. It says, very clearly, the **Constitution**.

It doesn't say rich white guys and rick black guys who wanna be rich white guys. It says, very clearly, the **Constitution**.

It doesn't say the Presidency. It says, very clearly, the **Constitution**.

It doesn't say a man's legacy. It says, very clearly, the **Constitution**.

George, I'll tell ya what. You stop protectin' me and mine and I'll stop hating you and yours.

The Constitution? **That's** what protects us.

Deal?

1. But it DOES say
"execute the office of President"!
And let's face it, he's successfully done that!
He's killed everything it used to stand for, point blank!

2. Dang it, he's got himself a freaking loophole!
It clearly states "to the best of my ability", and we all know how little ability he has.

3. isn't there a similar oath for joining the military?

4. Yes, and the oath is very similar in part, since it places
the Constitution above everything else. They should definitely be defending the Constitution from the domestic enemies in the current administration who are tearing it up to use as toilet paper.

They also leave out the loophole about performing these duties to the "best of my ability". (It's pretty sad when you realize that he very probably *IS* performing to the best of his abilities.)

In the Armed Forces EXCEPT the National Guard (Army or Air):

I, ___________________________________, do solemly swear (or affirm) that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; and that I will obey the orders of the President of the United States and the orders of the officers appointed overme, according to regulations and the Uniform Code of Military Justice. So help me God.

(The "So help me God" part is optional, depending on the personal beliefs of the enlistee.)
