...praising the Bush administration's war on terror.
He recalled the fall of the Berlin wall and how it was "the people that spoke on that day." "They desired freedom and their voices were in large part the reason that the wall came down and they were free."
You know where he is going don't you...yep...Iraq! He said something to the effect that this phenomenon will be seen again in Iraq (Middle East)...etc. etc.
You idiot! They are very different situations. Democracy must come from the people...not at the point of a gun.
Amazing...I just shake my head that they can make these kinds of comparisons and honestly think that we can't see through it.

On Edit...
He just keeps getting better and better. Says that there isn't a civil war in Iraq even though the opposition would want you to think so. He said: "I haven't seen an increase in Iraqi against Iraqi violence in the past five months that the opposition has brought up the idea of a civil war."
Is this guy nuts!?

Here we go...now a Rep (Delahunt from Mass) came in from the cloak room and said to King that "he wasn't the one that said we needed 150,000 more troops in Afgan...that it was a General...(Defense Minister of Afgan)" Smack down. He's calling him out on his fibs and spin...
They cannot and will not concede mistakes. Every disaster is respun as either catastrophic sucess or some else's problem. They are fighting for their political/criminal lives. Stay tuned.
Steve King is the guy that said that after they build a wall on the mex. border, they should put electrified barbed wire on the top of it, and added, "We do this with cattle all the time." Nice fella.
