From an email I received today from Ned Lamnont's campaign. He's running against Joe Lieberman.

From here on out, I promise to match, dollar for dollar, every contribution made online to our campaign through the primary. You've put this campaign on your back from day one, help carry us over the finish line today.

What you are doing is nearly unprecedented, forcing an eighteen year incumbent to defend an indefensible record of support for failed conservative policies

in the CT Senatorial primary.

As is the Isreal Lobby

Got a push poll phone call from the town Democratic Committee
on whether I’m going to vote for Lieberman.

Then I get this letter from the town Democratic Committee urging me to
vote in the primaries b/n the State Committee endorsed “Three-term U.S.
Senator Joe Lieberman” who is being challenged.

Then, over the course of the next four days, I’m getting several mailings
from the Lieberman campaign - slick heavy paper multi-page folded
expensive looking things, a prominent half of which is derogatory to
Ned Lamont.

Looks to me there’s a lot of money and lobbyists backing Joe L.

4. Subtle
They got it into their spiel that "Senator Joe Lieberman" was the candidate endorsed by the town committee, he was mentioned first and Ned Lamont was mentioned second.

I used to work for this committee way back when. If the desired candidate was proffered, the pollster would follow up with an offer of a ride to the polling place or an absentee ballot. I said I'm NOT voting for Lieberman and what I got was short shrift.
