Arthur Brooks in the WSJ on the "Fertility Gap".
He says that Conservatives are out breeding Liberals'

But he doesn't present a solution.

I think that the Liberal and Progressive Gals out there should, uh, uh, never mind :-)

Here's the link to his op-ed: http://www.opinionjournal.com/editorial/feature.html?id=110008831

I have read this guy in other places than the WSJ but I can't detect his ideology. Anyone know him?

1. He's a conservative ASSHOLE
Mr. Brooks, a professor at Syracuse University's Maxwell School of Public Affairs, is the author of "Who Really Cares: The Surprising Truth About Compassionate Conservatism," forthcoming from Basic Books.

Book Description
Surprising proof that conservatives really are more compassionate--and more generous--than liberals
We all know we should give to charity, but who really does? Approximately three-quarters of Americans give their time and money to various charities, churches, and causes; the other quarter of the population does not. Why has America split into two nations: givers and non-givers?

Arthur Brooks, a top scholar of economics and public policy, has spent years researching this trend, and even he was surprised by what he found. In Who Cares, he demonstrates conclusively that conservatives really are compassionate-far more compassionate than their liberal foes. Strong families, church attendance, earned income (as opposed to state-subsidized income), and the belief that individuals, not government, offer the best solution to social ills-all of these factors determine how likely one is to give....

Lying sack of shit--wipe your ass on that book, and his article.

3. Not all kids want to be just like their parents
I wouldn't worry about it.

And why assume the fucker is telling the truth, anyway? His reputation for intellectual honesty has been pretty much trashed with that blurb from his fer-shite book.

It seems to me that all of the old white boys are horribly concerned about the dusky, brownish, foreign-language speaking, strange-food-eating 'liberals' who, to their minds, are cropping up everywhere. Surely they must be doing a little reproducing?
