A Time Magazine poll
shows the current support vs won't support numbers for the alleged front runners for president for 2008. At the apex of the current Republican meltdown, it still doesn't look too rosy for the names we keep on hearing out of the mouths of boobs.

57%Friends, there's a reason why the talking heads inside your television set keep mentioning the same three Democratic names. None of them has much traction among voters. Only Rudy Giuliani has any crossover appeal right now among the bigguns. I think they're trying to take us for a ride--and I suspect the next stop is Guantanamo. The smear on Democrats as weak presidents is long, strong, and still effective.
In other pessismistic news, the Republican confidence about the coming midterms is more than just putting up a brave front. Vote suppressing aside, they still have a powerful, well funded, and committed GOTV program in place for November. Do we? I suggest everyone in DU ask their local party this week what they can do--then arrange to take the day off from work on Election Tuesday. This is one area where each of us can--and must--make a difference.
