Term limits sound good on the surface but...

The system itself is setup for corruption.
Do you think that professional corporate lobbyists have "term limits"?
No they don't.
Do you think they will take advantage of a fresh batch of new faces in Congress?
Yes they will.
Do you think term limits will solve the "revolving door" syndrome from Public office to corporate CEO?
No, term limits will make that situation worse because our Reps will know they need to build favors, for future employment, when their term runs out.

We need a very limited contribution system with public financing filling the void.
Big money influence needs to be removed along with corporate privatization of our vote counting, by secret yet unsecured machines.

1. There's another problem with term limits

In Nevada (I think) they voted for term limits in the late 90s. At that time there were several long-time Dems in office and due to term limits they couldn't run. The repugs won their seats and immediately rescinded the term limit law so they could hold the seats as long as they wanted.
