The four firefighters in California ..... and maybe the fifth, too .......
How truly awful .... the death of those four firefighters in California. And now it seems the fifth is unlikely to survive.

People like these define the word 'hero'. They go out for the sake of others, knowing better than most of us the risks involved, and yet they do it.

I've sent my prayers to them. I hope you will, too. Prayers, good karma, or whatever method you use. Even as we worry about all there is to worry about, these are the moments when we should all truly be as one.

3. How right you are, my dear Husb2Sparkly........
We all need to come together to mourn the loss of these brave young men...

Life is full of risks, and these men took that with them every time they went out to a fire, esp. a wildfire such as this one.

I stand with you in grief over this terrible loss. :patriot:

5. I saw the Mom of one of the firefighters on TV today.
She said he's only been a firefighter since Oct. 4th and wants to know why he was put in such a dangerous situation. Before the firefighting he was doing temp work.

Too sad.
