Don't Be Influenced By The Polls - My Repug Friend Confided That......
in an effort not to lose face amongst his Repug friends he is telling them he is voting Repug. In reality he has changed his affiliation and will vote with the Dems. He is sick and tired of the lies; the war; the economy and the outright spending of the Repug congress. He tells me that he suspects that a lot of his Repug friends are also lying to each other and when they get into the voting booth will vote Dem.

1. What a beautiful site
A dozen "republicans" at the polling place, all wearing flag lapel pins, patting each other on the back about kicking some democratic ass, all the while lying to each other and voting straight party democrat. Great plan karl.

6. My husband has a friend like that..
This guy's wife is a fundie and a major Bush supporter. He tells her he's going to a men's "bible study" and comes to our house for a couple drinks. He hates all the church talk and all the Republican crap but doesn't say anything, he just lets her do her thing..he says his time comes when he votes "democratic all the way".
I wish he had more balls to stand up to her but hey, it's his life and he's gotta' live it.

11. I think he's just spineless...
but that's me. His wife is a screeching shrew but he just puts up with it. He hates it, but he never puts his foot down or stands up for himself.Staying with her is just "easier" than leaving. I guess his voting Dem. and sneaking a few drinks is his way of thumbing his nose at her, but I just keep thinking "passive agressive much?"

12. I was talking with a friend of a friend on Friday
(yeah I know - doesn't sound credible but this is on the level) and she was telling me how all the republican lawyers she knows are voting democratic this year. All of them were using the line "It's not an election it's an intervention" around her office. I'm keeping my fingers crossed, but we may be dancing in the streets come wednesday morning...
