Karl Rove's current dirty trick!
Karl Rove has been bragging for weeks about his "72-hour program" to swing the elections, which predict a Democratic takeover of Congress.

Now we know what it is: a dirty trick campaign using robocalls.

The calls are made to Democrats and swing voters at all times of day or night to make them angry. And they pretend to be from the Democrat ("Hello, I'm calling with information about Lois Murphy"). If you hang up, they call back 7-8 times, and each time you hear the Democrat's name, to get you angry at him or her. If you stay on, you get to hear a scathing attack on the Democrat.

Karl Rove's whole career has been devoted to dirty tricks. In 2002, his dirty trick was to force Congress to vote shortly before Election Day for the Iraq War based on two months of White House lies about WMD's and Al Qaeda ties. That dirty trick has cost the lives of 2,834 brave young Americans (16 so far in November), $2 trillion in debt to our children and grandchildren, and unleashed massive bloodshed in Iraq.

It's too late for legal action or even newspaper stories. If you receive one of these calls, write down the time and candidate and call every radio and TV show you can and urge everyone listening to vote against the disgusting Republican dirty tricksters. And forward this email to everyone you know so they aren't fooled by Karl Rove's dirty trick.

Let's make this Karl Rove's LAST campaign by voting ALL Republicans out of office.

Now, my question is this: If I get a lot of these calls, or calls at inappropriate times, can't I caall the phone company and report them? Would it do any good?

1. I'd think you can call your state's AG & file a complaint ...
... a complaint with the phone company might help to document it, but the AG's office really oughta know.

2. I had a tinfoilly thought somewhat related to this
Pollster callers getting rough idea of how people vote in smaller, swingy districts could let the Magic Vote Elves
how much adjustment to make in the final numbers.

5. Karl's gonna do jail time for this one. He should have paid attention to
what happened to the folks involved in the phone jamming plot last time.

6. So many people have Caller ID and won't pick up a political call
People are more savvy when it comes to telemarketing. I think they're grasping at straws.

It's the voting machines that give me pause.

7. I don't have caller ID, but I've heard that the # displayed when
it's a call from one of these robocall systemsis usually not real. Some have been racked and come up as a disconnected number or not a valid number!

This kind of stuff really pisses me off! I broke my ankle about 6 weeks ago, and I'm using a wheel chair to get around. it's a real effort to get to the damn phone, and if I get any of these calls, I'm REALLY going to be MAD!

Unfortunately for Karl,I will be even more mad at the Pubs than at the Dems!

8. So when this becomes public...then Dem voters don't know if they
can trust the real Democrat calling them...so they hold back.

Sleezy, sick, slimy, dirty dogs.
