Back in June, we told you about Current TV's "Seeds of Tolerance" contest, where the cable network was asking viewers to create a video on the theme of tolerance. Well happily, a powerful video on homophobia called "We Belong" has been chosen as one of the six finalists:
Right now "We Belong" is in third place, with a little under three days to go in the voting process. So head on over to Current's site, and if you think this video is the most deserving of the six entries, then please take the time to throw a vote in its direction! Should they win, the producers of the video have vowed to direct the $100,000 prize towards programs that reduce homophobia in the nation's high schools, so your vote could genuinely make a difference for future generations.
Come on -- the whole process takes about five minutes! The 80's commercials, emo kid making out, and clips from the failed Broadway production of Carrie will still be on YouTube when you're done!
