I keep reminding myself that George W Bush is not worth wasting our time or effort upon. Nobody likes a "know-it-all" - especially a know-it-all that does not appear to be very intelligent or rational. It's rather like a race car driver driving with his eyes closed...
Yes, we would like to just forget about him but we are fearful of turning away for fear of what might happen while we are not looking. There's something so irrational and unpredictable about the President of the United States that even his father weeps for him.
We would like to think that he is irrelevant now that the Democrats have taken control of the House and Senate. However, like a delinquent child with a BB gun, no windows are safe in the neighborhood. He must be watched as closely or more closer than the "terrorists" that might attack us again. The country is in peril so long as he sits in the White House.
So, I tell myself it is not an obsession as much as it is a vigilance. As a concerned American, I will hold accountable those Republicans that continue to support his dangerous and irrational policies. In my opinion, that should be the ultimatum in the next election. If you support George W Bush, you will pay the ultimate political price - defeat.
