So what are YOU going to do now?
I hope all of us will start to take actions in any way we can.

The only idea I have is to send emails to all the Congressmen and the PResident. There is the vigil tonight but beyond that what can we do?

I think we need to put EXTRA courage on the Dems to stand up to this idiot. We will not have unlimited patience either!

1. I think I've signed about six
petitions so far....it's what I can do at the moment at work.

3. Called and signed.
I'd go to a rally tonight, but have the flu. Will go to 1/27 rally.

Our holiday peace sign wreath (complete with blue LED lights) remains up and is lit every night. It stays up until the war is ended.

5. That wreath is a great idea! I'd like to have one, but my house
is on a deadend road and its the only house down here. Maybe I could put a battery-operated one on my car!

I love sending out e-mails and I've signed several petitions in the past week. That's about it, but its a start.

7. How to make a peace wreath
Instructions for making a large peace sign wreath:

1 36" artificial evergreen wreath
1 9' length of artificial evergreen garland
1 long string of (blue) LED Christmas lights
1 small roll of green florist wire (Michaels or other craft stores)
pliers
1 outdoor extension cord
1 light timer

Measure and cut enough garland to make a line straight across the center of the wreath. Attach at both ends with green floral wire. Measure and cut enough garland to make the upside-down V for the arms of the peace sign. Attach with floral wire.

Then attach the string of lights along the circle and symbol with floral wire, set the timer and plug it in.

You can also do this with a big piece of stiff plastic or cardboard cut in the shape of a peace sign in a circle. I found that the peace symbol was almost invisible on a smaller, 24" evergreen wreath. The big ones are expensive so I got one when it was marked way down at Joann Fabrics.

:hi:

4. I've signed several petitions
that have popped up in my e-mail over the past few days. Also am going to DC on the 27th and staying until Tuesday, so maybe I'll participate in lobbying Congress on Monday. I've never done anything like that, but I think the times call for it.

6. I spoke out on Washington Journal this morning.

Other than that, I can write and/or call my Republican rep and senators (thank you computerized voting), who won't listen, and encourage those who will.

I will also continue to pray for an end to the war.

And I will vote for Dennis Kucinich again. He could win if Democrats stopped saying he can't and got behind him. I don't think any other Dem who will run would end the war if s/he won the election.
