Kudos to MSNBC. They ask the *right* question re: Fox's "24"
I don't watch '24' but, from the clip they just showed on MSNBC, it is apparantly doing a plot that involves a nuclear bomb going off in the US.

The crawl asked the lesser question: Are they playing on fear for ratings? In the follow-on 'debate' however, they ask the RIGHT question: Are they using this show to further the Bush agenda?

The debate was between Craig Crawford and some flat right wing flack.

Tim McCarver and Barney Fife

8. this IS very interesting...
Rush was caught with the 24 production team (or at least one of them) coming back from their sex romp in a third world country.

12. And He Was Dating Chloe!
And apparently, Limpballs was dating the actress who plays Chloe at one time. Don't know if that's still on, or if she's discovered his liking for Viagra and Dominican hookers.

9. I don't think so

The show has always been like this. The fascist characters are often offset by ACLU-ish types (which is very obvious so far in this season.) It's usually not a 50/50 balance but it's better than Fox News. There are plenty of stereotypes to go around. The writing for the show is pretty lame most of the time so I really don't put much thought or value into what I'm seeing. It's entertainment for me.

I got over that jingoistic macho bullshit after the first season...
