Rep. King said it's okay to drill in the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge because nobody goes there
Edited on Fri Jan-19-07 01:24 PM by IanDB1
If nobody is there to see an "environmentally friendly well" then it's okay, because, "if a tree falls in the forest..."

Repukes are stupid animals.

So, if I pee in the deep end of Mr. King's swimming pool, and nobody sees me do it, and they all swim in the shallow end, then it's okay?

1. Your analogy is spot on.
But I'd say, if we pour toxic waste in the deep end of his swimming pool...

3. Was that King or
his partner in crime, Steve Pearce (NM), who was talking about
how many more barrels, gallons, pints, whatever of oil that we
get from the oil rigs out in the water than from the oilwells
on land. Then, of course, he said that that means lower prices
at the pump. Doesn't he get it that we trying to get away from
pump...I think even s...-for-brains W has been forced to admit
that we have to consider alternatives. And Pearce was, in so
many words, calling his colleagues stupid. These guys are such
obtuse p..zes.

4. They just can't leave it alone, can they?
With all that's going on, all the pressing matters and the wars present and being plotted as I type, the erosion of the Constitution and our freedoms, the bankrupting of our treasury, all the corruption, etc, etc, they just can't leave alone opening up protected nature/wildlife refuges to their already-drowing-in-profit oil masters.

Amazing.

5. Yes.

It's okay if they swim in the deep end too.

10. I doubt it
No oil man is going to drill when he knows it will be a dry well.

7. One of the reasons for a wildlife refuge is to ...
limit the number of people who go there.

9. Oh, Dear God, that's a SENSATIONAL comeback!
Edited on Fri Jan-19-07 02:17 PM by calimary
If I spit in your vegetables, but you just eat the roast beef in the entree, that's okay, too, then?

Just a GREAT comeback. I think we should use it, and come up with many, many more versions of it. MUCH easier to drive the point home and make the issue more understandable to the thick-headed.
