Poll question: Will Certain Aspects Of Rudy Giuliani's Past Alienate Red State Fundie Voters?
With the collapse in support for John McCain becoming more evident every week, the
GOP nominee for president in 2008 could very well end up being Rudy Giuliani.

My question here is how much does the knuckle-bouncing core GOP voter know about
this decidedly Blue State personality? And when they do find out, will they still be able
to punch the chad for him?

Case in point:

In your opinion, what ever will they think?

1. It will be better for us if Rudy runs. Most Republicans would run from him in hordes.

2. You know, his SNL apperance almost made me like him...
I have a grudging admiration for anyone that will dress up and act a bit of the fool on national TV... He was surprisingly funny.

Of course, that's one good point versus a half dozen or more bad points, so the pleasant feeling doesn't last that long.

3. If he gets the nomination, the Fundies will vote Constitution Party
They're really committed on the abortion issue. They see it as putting blood on their hands if they vote for a pro-choice candidate.

4. Wait until they find out he supports partial birth abortion.
Not to mention gay rights. He doesn't have a chance.

5. And he supports gun control.

Most fundies don't realize that a Republican from NYC is probably more liberal than 75% of the Democratic party. Wait till they find out his first wife was his second cousin; he was unfaithful to his second wife with a staff aide (whom he is now married to), and when the judge threw him out of Gracie Mansion, he moved in temporarily with a gay couple he was friends with. Oh My!

On edit: He also supports gay rights.
