Insight magazine is claiming Hillary camp has been investigating Obama for 3 months
Edited on Thu Jan-25-07 05:40 PM by bigdarryl
The editor of insight mag. is 100% standing by there story that the info on Obama cam from Hillary's people.Hillary was going to use the info against Obama. the editor was on Hannity radio show. i know some DU'ers are going to talk shit about me why i listen to him but i knew the guy was coming on and wanted to here if he was going to deny or stand by the story they put out.he said the opposition research team has been trying to dig info on all the dem candidates.he predicted it will get even nastier in the election.

1. The RW mantra -- say it often enough and *poof* It's TRUTH!
Guess they need ANOTHER public smackdown?

Or perhaps they should make their source PUBLIC. Because until they do, I ain't buying it.

32. I have no doubt about that
These magazines should be FORCED to publicly prove their allegations, especially in smear pieces like this.

garner Clinton the Democratic Nomination. We are sick of Swift-boating! I hope that is not their campaign strategy.

36. No I do not exactly believe the rags.....
but the 'BELL" keeps getting rung....Which is damaging in the long haul. Additionally, Ed Schultz has voice his deep concerns with the Clinton handlers. I sense the same type of "handlers" worked for the Kerry Team....Look where it got them.

3. Bullshit
Insight is a Moonie rag. Even Obama's spokesman said he knows HRC has nothing to do with this. It was an unsourced story with absolutely no documentation.

5. Hope she's dug up some shit on Mccain
I think this story is bullshit but since they think her campaign is so good at finding damaging details about peoples past, I would think that McCain's closet is bursting with skeletons. If I knew Hillary would bring them out and beat them to death I might change how I feel about her being the nominee.

24. Since his mom and dad were divorced when
he was two years old, his father did not do any muslim raising. Plus, his father was not a practicing muslim. What utter rot! Aren't they cute, trying to get two top candidates with one smear.

Get in gear, dems. Incidentally, when you go to bed with dogs, you get up with fleas. Consider the source, and don't spread drivel on DU.

9. Insight magazine is owned by the fucking MOONIES, first of all
So take their "reasoning" with a boatload of salt.

Second, every single candidate with cash has an oppo team. Every single one. Obama has a crew investigating everyone else, so does Richardson, so does everyone save perhaps Kucinich, because he has no money.

I'll bet one of the best oppo teams in town is employed by McCain. And the second-best one is owned by that shithead Romney.

What a great big DUH. The candidates who do not have decent oppo teams are the ones who get swiftboated. Just because you have the tool, doesn't mean you use it.

So, two questions--why do you give a shit, and why do you pollute your mind with that Hannity crap? Life is too short to waste it listening to lies and bullshit. Switch to NPR, at least.

15. way to go! stir up bitterness among dems and help the repubs
its irrelevant anyway-assuming we all will
have the good judgment to vote for the party
nominee regardless of whom he or she may be.

stirring up petty internecine squabbles only helps
republicans-which is why sean insanity had them on his
"show" in the first place. I am sure he appreciates the plug.

Edited on Thu Jan-25-07 06:03 PM by Infinite Hope
"Investigation" is being used loosely. Further, this happens in nearly every campaign. It consists of research, often on the internet, into past voting records and into anything else they can find in searching his name. His camp is doing the same thing on other candidates - guaranteed. They all do it; always have and always will. It happens regularly at every level of government down to the city council.

Edit: Frankly, if there's any accurate information on any candidate (including my own), I want to know about it before voting. Whether that accurate information comes from another campaign or another entity entirely, I thank them.

20. Investigating Obama for 3 months and spreading lies are two different things. ALL, I repeat , ALL
politicians investigate each other. They would be stupid if they did not.

That DOES NOT mean that they spread lies about each other.

It appears the Republics have killed two birds with one stone - smear Obama and blame it on Hillary - thus smearing her also.

Make that three birds with one stone - cause disharmony among Democrats.

all innuendo or even so-called facts. I will support whichever Dem that the Democratic voters decide to be the party candidate. Swiftboating can only happen if we let it. This time we have the edge because the American people are fed-up....finally.

In my opinion, if this forum is to be taken seriously, criticism of physical appearance against any politician, specially a Democrat, should be avoided.

30. Stupid story. Of course her camp has "investigated" him. And his camp has "investigated" her
EVERY campaign does opposition research. EVERY one of them. Do you have a favorite candidate? That candidate has done opposition research. Not being prepared for stories that might break in the paper or being able to counter an attack that might be coming would be stupid.

As to whether the info came to Insight from her campaign. I seriously doubt it. Something so easily debunked could only backfire and besides, if they'd done it, they would have done it anonymously. Duh!

33. "Insight" is an organ of the "Wshington Times". Sometimes called "Moonie Times"
because the Rev. Sun Moon is the head cheese of the operation.

The more you use right wing whackos for your information source, the less crediblity you'll have around here.
