Roster of DLC Members?
The DLC used to have a roster of all of its congressional members posted on its website, ndol.org. It appears that the roster isn't there anymore. Does anybody know when or why? Was it because of the Lieberman/Lamont race? Are congress members trying to put more distance between themselves and the "New Democrats"?

Does anybody know where an accurate roster can be found. I would hate to accidentally vote for one, thinking that they are true Democrats.

5. Well...
As the DLC describes itself as "New Democrats", it is drawing a distinction between itself and all of the other Democrats. The "New Democrats" seem to resemble the old Republicans.

6. ..well..
...the New Democrat moniker was adopted to distinguish them from Democrats who had risen to power from the late 60s on. (The ones who lost presidential elections in landslides in 1972, 1980, 1984, and 1988)

Policy wise, the DLC resembles the Truman-Kennedy era Democrats.

9. Democrats that would exclude others because they don't like...
some of their policy positions. Democrats in the tradition of Strom Thurmond. Democrats that could be found throughout the South before Civil Rights legislation was enacted. True Democrats.

10. "some of their policy positions"
Like the war in Iraq, where the Lieberman Democrats supported the failed Bush adventure, and are now walking a tight-rope between "supporting the troops" and not being blamed for the war.

2. DLC members are the House and Senate
New Democrat Coalition members.

There are more of them than you probably suspect.
