1. I don't know. There are huge numbers of evangelicals there.
Even though Dobson has dumped on Thompson, they would automatically choose him over Gore. It would be extremely close.

3. I see Gore winning the GE with 53%-54% of the popular vote...
he would win the entire northeast/midatlantic/Ohio/Virginia (maybe)/midwest/southwest/west coast.

Gore would narrowly lose TN to Thompson.

2. Thompson no doubt
The question isn't who would you like winning Tennessee.

It's a conservative state and I'm not sure if Gore has become all that much more popular there over the years.

12. Gore didn't campaign here in TN in 2000.
His campaign thought he would win easily, so he didn't even bother to campaign here. It was a shock to all Tennesseans that he lost TN.

A lot of people don't understand the politics of TN. TN is the ultimate crucible for politicians. In the East, Dolly Parton country, you have the "good ole boy" conservatives. In the west, you've got the very liberal Memphis area.

The Center is, (pardon the pun), Centrist. Atleast for the most part. Nashville itself is VERY blue, but on it's southern border is Williamson County, the richest county in TN and, therefore, very Red (marsha Blackburn's home - need I say more?).

On a Statewide Level, you never know what's going to happen. TN politics is very unpredictable.

5. Gore couldn't carry TN against Bush

Thompson would take it in a cakewalk, and I doubt Gore would contest it very much.

He hasn't had direct ties to TN since 1992.

6. Even after all that has happened with Bush, I agree that Gore...
would lose TN. See my other post.

8. Gore could win TN easily ...
if the NAFTA debate had been reversed, and Gore had spoken out for America like Perot did, instead of attacking America. It's too late for Gore.

I mean if Gore admitted he made a HUGE mistake by selling out America to internationalists he could easily win, but otherwise we're all wasting our time aren't we?

10. who cares?
He's a GOP isn't he? Of course he supports NAFTA, GATT, the WTO, the WB, and all the other communazi international institutions. He's an actor hired by the GOP. Who cares what he thinks? He says what he's paid to say.
