CNN Breaking! Kucinich to Introduce "Articles of Impeachment" tomorrow...
CNN will have a discussion about it later but they asked Congressman Murtha who Wolfie was interviewing when Kucinich news broke and Murtha said: "....this isn't the time we want the president to work with congress." But, he added: "my phone calls are running 10% for impeachment where they were only 5% last year."

Wolfie asked Candy Crowley where this would go and she said it would make the Left Wing of the Dem Party happy but that Pelosi and others are focused on what they feel they were elected for which was getting us out of Iraq and working on problems at home.

Kucinich will be on CNN with Wolfe tomorrow for an interview.

3. "...working on problems at home..."
:wtf: Impeaching international war criminals who've staged a coup and overtaken our government isn't working on a problem at home?

5. James Carville tells Wofie that Dem Party is not in favor of impeachment of Cheney
and Wolf says:"...but it's an element of the party that's very vocal, though." Carville says it's not going anywhere. He tried to make it political about Kucinich doing this and JC Watt said: "Dennis really believes this." Carville then had to backtrack and say that he thought Kucinich might believe it but it just isn't what the Party thinks. He might go from 1% to 1 1/2% in the polls with this.

Carville made an ass out of himself not knowing which way to turn when trying to attack Kucinich with JC saying "I served with him and he believes this."

14. If you polled Democrats just on whether they would like Bush to be impeached
I bet the numbers would be staggering. Add in that conviction is extremely unlikely and that it could cost us the election in 2008, the numbers would drop drastically.

I'd love for the criminals Bush and Cheney to be removed from office and for Speaker Pelosi to become Presdent and pull the troops out of Iraq. But I know that we have about as much chance of convicting them as the prosecutor had of convicting Emmett Till's murderers.

22. Why would it "cost us the election in 2008"?
It didn't "cost" the nazi pukes anything to impeach Clinton. This country and the entire world hate the chimp's guts. Just more excuses not to do the right thing...the ONLY thing.

25. It certainly did cost the Republicans to impeach Clinton
When Clinton was impeached his approval rating went from 60 to 70%. Despite pundits saying that the GOP would win a filibuster proof majority in the Senate in the 1998 elections, the Democrats held even in the Senate and picked up seats in the House. Newt Gingrich's political career was largely ended due to this.

And also, remember the fact that Al Gore won in 2000. Unless we plan on getting into the business of stealing elections, history is against us on this one.

There's no chance we'll leave Iraq while Bush and Cheney remain in office.

9. When you have the ball, run with it ! L'audace, l'audace, toujour l'audace !
Edited on Mon Apr-23-07 05:09 PM by EVDebs
I think that's how the French quote Patton gave has it ! Audacity, Audacity, always Audacity !

"Audacity, audacity - always audacity!"

* L'audace, l'audace, toujours l'audace!

http://en.wikiquote.org/wiki/Frederick_II_of_Prussia

Or, as Arlo Guthrie would have it, we're forming a MOVEMENT !

"...You know, if
one person, just one person does it they may think he's really sick and
they won't take him. And if two people, two people do it, in harmony,
they may think they're both faggots and they won't take either of them.
And three people do it, three, can you imagine, three people walking in
singin a bar of Alice's Restaurant and walking out. They may think it's an
organization. And can you, can you imagine fifty people a day,I said
fifty people a day walking in singin a bar of Alice's Restaurant and
walking out. And friends they may thinks it's a movement.

And that's what it is , the Alice's Restaurant IMPEACHMENT Movement, and
all you got to do to join is sing it the next time it come's around on the
guitar..."

http://www.arlo.net/resources/lyrics/alices.shtml

Thanks koko1 and let's all start singing the song IN HARMONY NOW... cuz WE CAN GET ANYTHING WE WANT AT ALICE'S RESTAURANT !

19. First Vermont
and then Dennis with his resolution

eventually more states, such as my own Washington STate will pass resolutions.

it may not happen overnight but folks it is totally happening.

impeachment is inevitable.

it's only a matter a time.

now everybody in DU get your phones ringing to your reps. and get those impeach Bush/Cheney signs out
now!!!

we have to praise Kucinich for having the backbone that Pelosi and the rest have not.

TABLE, meet Impeachment, Impeachment, Meet Table..

*** That would be "I believe impeachment is back ON THE TABLE, Madame Pelosi".

21. I do Not Support Impeachment.
I support removal from office.
I used to think the two concepts were the same thing but found out through recent history that they arent necesarily so.
IMO Cheney should be exiled on a 5 square foot island someplace in the middle of Boston Harbor that doesnt contain so much a single tree but has a lot of trash on it that he can amuse himself contemplating.

23. Impeachment, long overdue!
Dennis Kucinich. Earning my support again.

Its funny. He's the shortest guy. He's the ugliest guy. He's the "pie in the sky" guy.

Yet, he's just about the only one talking about the United States of America that our children will live and work in.

Yeah, Dennis Kucinich makes a lousy politician. But the man would be one hell of a leader because he's one hell of a man.
