Michigan GOP leader wants Paul barred from future debates
"I think he would have felt much more comfortable on the stage with the Democrats in what he said last night. And I think that he is a distraction in the Republican primary and he does not represent the base and he does not represent the party," Anuzis said during an RNC state leadership meeting.

"Given what he said last night it was just so off the wall and out of whack that I think it was more detrimental than helpful."

10. Nailed it!
He sounds way too much like a Dem for their comfort.

Lock step or join another club.

6. Wow, RP must really be a wildcard, up there on stage, actually saying things.
No wonder the GOP, the MSM and the pundits are whacking him like a Texan mole. It's pretty obvious that RP makes them look bad.

No GOP debates without RP and no Dem debates without Kucinich or Gravel. At this juncture, thorns in the side are a good, good thing.

7. I sent a message to Ron Paul via house.gov - an amazing discovery -
Edited on Wed May-16-07 08:50 PM by pinkpops
He actually lets you put in your own subject. You don't have to choose from a list. This makes me think someone actually reads his mail, rather tham put it in little stacks for a canned response. He was on NOW with Bill Moyers last year, handled himself with dignity.

And here's his critic. Aint he pretty?

His email is here:
http://www.migop.org/contact_us.asp

Maybe he would understand Ron's position if it was framed this way:

Suppose there was Meskins on the US border wantin to get in and take over our country. You wouldn't like that would you?
Well thas the way I-Rackes and I-Ranians feel about us hanging around their countries

16. Speaking of "canned" responses...I was sorely
disappointed recently when I sent a message via the "contact us" link on one of the Dem candidate's web sites. I had a genuine concern I would have liked to have seen addressed at least by a staffer. Instead I got added to the candidate's e-mail fundraising list, and have been getting a barrage of money requests, which has done nothing but piss me off.

If a candidate isn't going to use the "contact us" link for anything other than compiling a fundraising potential donor list, that ought to be stated up front. I wouldn't have wasted my time.

I hope you have better luck with Ron Paul.

12. The warmongers of the party...
...hate old-school conservatives. Let's not forget that RP represents what many call Goldwater Conservatism, and the new authoritarian-caste of the Republican leadership...the fearmongers and warmongers...HATE Republicans like Ron Paul. Because old conservatives like him show everyone just how far-right the party has gone....and they're in denial.

13. But Paul would still let corporations make obscene amounts of money
And keep them free from accountability for poisoning, maiming, or just outright killing their customers. Come onnnnn, we're all fascists here, guys. Can't we all just get along?
