Edwards does not Favor Impeachment
http://www.lvrj.com/news/7270171.html

SNIP
Asked by a questioner why he didn't support impeaching Vice President Dick Cheney, Edwards said, "I totally understand the feeling" but said he thought Democrats' energy could be better spent "moving the country forward."

How many threads do we need to point out that JE and HRC also do not favor impeachment?
The reason a thread was posted about BO's view on the situation is because it was in the news, not to single him out on this issue. It is sad, but not surprising, that JE and HRC also do not favor impeachment, although their reasoning is more sound than Obama's reasoning that what * and Cheney did is not "grave" enough.

24. he was not called johnnyboy
he was called johnny

and if you don't think johnnyboy is diminishing, then we don't hear it the same way.

not a big deal, but it is diminishing, pointlessly, IMO.

Re-read my 1st post on this subject.

As far as johnnyboy being "a diminutive", nope. He is not short in stature.

You din't answer my question. Did you go to North in 1971?

32. no, didn't go to North
I didn't mean that he was diminutive in stature, I meant that I thought that the use of Johnnyboy was mocking him, and I see by the subsequent posts that you were not mocking him.

Are you in touch with John(nyboy)?

13. Exactly
Under Obama's standard impeachment might as well be deleted from the Constitution. Hey, I am sure Cheney can help him with revising the Constitution. ;)

16. In Defense Of Obama
I mean, is it really any worse to say, "I don't think his actions warrent it" than to say, "his actions may warrent it, but impeachment would be a waste of time."

I'm an Edwards supporter, and sort of agree with him on impeachment. Really, it's a no-win situation. Of course, many here say the way to win is to support impeachment, but then all anyone will want to talk about is why the candidate supports impeachment. The candidate will then have to make the legal case for impeaching the current administration (to the people of this country) rather than articulating his (or her) vision for America.

1. Personally, I can't see any way to "move the country forward"
as long as those two assholes are in power. I'm really tired of this "no impeachment" stuff. I wish somebody would get with the program.

8. This is starting to really piss me off!
I honestly assumed the candidates weren't talking about it because they supported it, but didn't want to say anything remotely controversial this early in the game.

Is Kucinich the only one?

19. Why not list them all and be done with it like this is earth shattering news.
Gore is against impeachment and I know for a fact that my own Senator Feingold does not favor it. Evidently all of these people are either cowards or idiots by the standards of some here.

26. big difference between BO and JE on this
JE thinks it's deserved but that it would distract from the need to move forward

BO thinks its not deserved because the crimes are not 'grave' enough.
