Was John Roberts lying when asked how his health was and he
responded "excellent." I'm sorry, I'm really, really pissed at this. Wouldn't vetting his background and medical records have shown the previous episode 14 years ago? He rode a bus for a long time after that episode so it had to have been known. The reason I am so aggrivated about this: A dear friend, professional with numerous degrees, was denied a position she really wanted because she suffered seizures as a child!! I mean, what the hell???

1. He was lying about everything he responded to...
It's the Republican way!

2. Your friend is a mere citizen. John Roberts is from our ruling class.
It's not nice to question your betters.

3. He did tell them about having seizures years ago, per an earlier
network news program. Claimed he took a bus to work for awhile after that. Maybe they don't happen too often. But it seems like he told the truth. I'm sorry about your friend; I wonder if she/he could have gone to the EEOC and file a complaint? Doesn't sound legal to me, but I'm no lawyer.

4. I just heard on NBC news, Robert Bozall, that he had a seizure 14 yrs ago, and rode the bus for a
while after that.

You can't make this sh** it up. MKJ

5. I would think your friend would have a case under ADA.

Of course, GOP judges have been steadily eroding ADA but did she check into it? I could see not wanting to hire anyone who'd ever had a seizure for certain jobs, like being a pilot, but otherwise. . .

6. Actually, she did consult with a large law firm in Newark, NJ and
ended up being offered a wonderful position with them. She had medical affidavits, etc. to prove she had not had a seizure since around age 10-11 (believe it or not, once the menses started the seizures stopped, go figure). I believe she still takes a med but life fortunately, is good for her.

9. So she ended up with a job as good or better?

That's good to hear. It's really bad when a medical condition prevents you from getting a job, especially when the condition is no longer existent.

7. Probably not
One seizure 14 years ago of unknown origin wouldn't disqualify someone from having excellent health.

8. True, it's when it gets to two seizures where one might what to know a bit more.
About why this happened and all. MKJ
