I have been asked to run for TWO different offices in the near future. Look for more info after the state AFL-CIO convention in late Sept. Would a guy with a beard that doesn't wear a suit get your vote? Here is a photo of Cindy and I that the opposition is sure to drag out.

3. Depends on your actions and words more than any pictures of dress code,
I think it's funny that so many people make rude comments about candidates choices of attire and or grooming and complaining on footing such a what must be a high bill and yet these same people would more than likely complain about someone in jeans and a tee shirt, nawww, to me it makes no difference, clothes and or grooming does not show a persons true character, it never has, look at the idiots holding offices right this moment and it only proves my point.

4. I don't know if I could vote for someone who says
"here's a photo of Cindi and I" instead of "here's a photo of Cindi and me."
:toast:
Actually, if you're smart enough to come in out of the rain and can dress adequately so that your message is heard instead of your mode of dress becoming your message, that's all fine.
There are lots of reasons for voting for someone besides their fashion sense.

12. Can't say which office until after Sept 23

There is an abortion clinic right down the street from our home. I used to be a voluntary escort to get women seeking reproductive services inside with as little hassle as possible from the anti crowd. One local and national issue you can be sure I'd never flip flop on.

6. Yes, I would. You consistently post Labor stories here on DU
and for that reason alone are more qualified for office than most.

in fact because you don't wear a suit and have a beard would make me MORE likely to vote for you.

15. vote
Would I vote for a working man who has a beard, and doesn't wear a suit and tie? Let me think about this for a minute. OK, I just looked in the mirror, and what did I see? A middle aged fat guy, with a beard, who works construction, and only wears a suit and tie for weddings and funerals. So, yeah, I'd vote for you.

I hope you do run for office Omaha Steve - you'd get my vote. I wish that my cousins didn't move to Denver from Omaha so I could keep informed about my old stompin' grounds. Best Wishes for success! :yourock:

20. My dear Omaha Steve...
Sure as hell I'd vote for you!

Alas, I cannot ......

If your opposition uses this picture in an attempt to degrade you, they will not succeed!

This is a beautiful picture, and one that any sane, normal person would find wonderful...

Go for it!

21. Absolutely!
You're very consistent in your attention to/posting of stories about labor and unions that most of us would never see.

America needs YOU....(and many more people like you)!

Go for it!

22. I would
From reading your posts on here, I have a definite impression that you would be a politician whose views I could support. And in my view the beard and jeans/t-shirt look would be a plus in a candidate for office.

Good luck in the race if you decide to go for it! :toast:
