Change vs. Change in Clinton, Obama Spots

By Sarah Wheaton

As both she and Senator Barack Obama release ads about “Change,” Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton is refusing to choose one or the other in the ‘change vs. experience’ fight. Her new spot, which will run in Iowa and New Hampshire, touts her “experience as a change agent,” as a release from the campaign puts it. With lines like “We will change things in this country, because we want it, because we have one candidate who has spent her life fighting for it,” and “If we have the conviction, she has the experience” the message—and contrast with Mr. Obama’s message, is clear.

More from Mrs. Clinton’s release:

…Clinton campaign is making clear, as Hillary said on the stump this week, “Change is just a word without the strength and experience to make it happen.” She has outlined how she would be the best able to get results, saying that change takes the right mix of knowing how and when to find common ground and when to stand your ground.

In his latest change ad, which Marc Ambinder reports will begin running in Iowa, Mr. Obama sticks to the outsider definition of change, citing his involvement with ethics legislation he was involved with in Illinois and federal campaign finance disclosure laws.

1. “experience as a change agent,”
LMFAO

She can't even take a solid stand on this one and has to try to play both sides.
