Poll question: If Edwards drops out, where do you think his support will go?
This is NOT meant to be flamebait. I realize Edwards is not dropping out, however, if this were to happen, I am curious to know where DUers think his support will go. Please don't vote on where you *want* his support to go, vote on where you think it *would* go.

1. Obama.
I'm thinking most Edwards supporters are not going to throw in with Hillary. I also don't think they'll get behind Kucinich, which I would personally want.

6. I thought I read here tonight that Edwards did well in the
debate. I know that probably doesn't mean too much, but what is going on to suggest this poll?

9. Several things

I'm really trying to be objective here (Edwards is my second choice). However, Edwards is not a big fundraiser like Obama/Clinton, and he is seen by the media as a boring old white guy, when (as the media percieves) we have exciting new candidates like Obama/Hillary. Edwards is playing at a severe disadvantage, and if anybody were to drop out, it would be him. I'm NOT saying that's going to happen, I'm just curious to see how it would play out.

12. LOL!
You know, I actually really like Gravel and his views. He's considered too "controversial" to win, but he's ahead of his times. I think that if Gravel had played it safe and not been so rabid at the debates, he could at least has earned a large enough base that he could have shifted around when he drops out, affecting the outcome.

14. It's unfortunate that he gets dismissed by both the moderator and
the other candidates in the "debates". He speaks alot of important truths up there, like calling Hilary and the others out on the Iran vote. I wish I knew if he was right about congress simply lacking the will to stop this war, and at least trying to prevent the next one.

8. I'm hoping that scenario does not materialize. If it does, I'm with Biden
as a strong second choice.

Several others would do also, but right now John, then Joe.

The worst mistake any candidate can make is to assume the race is over.
