Biden has experience in world matters
Edited on Tue Nov-20-07 06:03 PM by gateley

As a veteran returning from Iraq, I was frustrated by leaders in both political parties who did not understand the fundamental challenges to ending that war in a manner that would not require our children to fight a third war in Iraq. When I learned of Biden's plan for Iraq, I was very excited. It was the first time I had heard of a viable political solution to the war coming out of Washington, D.C.

Iraq is not the only area in foreign policy where Biden has distinguished himself. As a 33-year veteran of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, as well as its current chairman, Biden has amassed broad experience in dealing with other hot spots in the world, such as Iran, Korea and Russia. He has also been a leader in combating a host of other threats we face today, like climate change, drug trafficking and terrorism.

4. I don't think so...

I think Joe would just go back to his position, should he lose the race. I can't see him giving up a long carreer in the Senate, for a 4/8 year stint in an administration position.

5. Agreed
If he isn't president, he can accomplish far more in the Senate.

2. And that is exactly why he needs to be POTUS. There is too much at stake in the world right now to
have someone that needs training.
