Did Fox News Get Punked Yesterday In The NH Hostage Drama?.....
As I was flipping between MSNBC, CNN & Fox - Fox seemed to have had the best reporting on this situation for most of it. However, they were reporting a completely different name of the guy that took over the campaign HQ. They even had a friend on talking about another guy, an ex-wife and a stepson that was saying his step dad told him to watch the TV that afternoon. The name they were giving was a guy with the last name Stanley. It turned out they were wrong. It was pretty funny flipping the channels where MSNBC & CNN were talking about this Lee guy and Fox had a completely different name.

Did somebody set up the Fox channel and punk them?

How did Fox get out of it as I couldn't stay and watch as the situation ended?

1. MSNBC had the same kid on
He also identified this Stanley guy.

That whole episode is an example of irresponsible journalism. In an effort to beat their competition to cover such 'breaking news" they totally fucked up some guy who seems to have had nothing to do with it.

They all should have kept their mouths shut until they had confirmed info about who it really was.

2. It's only news when Faux gets something right for a change
Since they deliberately lie and slant almost everything they "report"

Fox = A typical republicon homelander propaganda catapult

no honor, no integrityh, clearly anti-American, anti-democracy - a tool of the ugly republicon Plutocracy

3. I have just got to weigh in here on the MSNBC reporting which was AWFUL!
First, they had on an "expert" in hostage crises who couldn't even remember Pres. Carter's last name, "uh, President Jimmy,uh, Jimmy, uh.....uh, well, anyway, uh, oh yeah, Carter!"

Then he speculated out the ass so wildly it was almost entertaining if it wasn't so sad.

Then, the anchor said, that "Sen. Clinton is not in the middle of the action", yes, indeed, gosh all this excitement and she's not even there.

Followed by their reporter "on the ground" in New Hampshire, (real combat duty, there) who excitedly said that local law enforcement was setting up a Command Center and he was on his way!!!!

We then got to hear lots of media applause at the Command Center in the background, as the anchor continued reporting, well at least someone was having a real good time with this, right?

Finally, the anchor said that local law enforcement asked them to cut their live feed of their aerial shots, all the while continuing unabated with the aerial shots.

Eventually, after about two or three minutes they cut the shots, however the anchor then described the armored vehicles and other law enforcement activities that were taking place right outside the HQ, apparently hoping the hostage taker would keep tuned into to them.

I recall Olbermann's recent non hysterical, cogent live coverage of the Minnesota bridge collapse. I guess he's a rare breed. MKJ
