The "left" was right about Iraq. It was a tragic error in judgement.

We are stuck there with the media not covering it now except to say we are doing just fine. Everyone knows that is just not true. Some pretend to believe it.

We were totally 100% correct about the dangers of invading a sovereign country for no good reason. We were called fringe, nutroots, and much worse.

But we were right. Spinning it to make it sound like a victory for the conservative Democrats is just a lie.

It is once again putting lipstick on the pig they call "centrism"...because it was the wrong kind of "centrism". It was a so-called centrism based on fear of the right wing.

It was cowardice.

1. We are right about Hillarious Clinton also.
She is the wrong candidate.

2. The peasants (we Democrats) are Always right about the King's wars: wasteful.
History is full of stories where the peasants get fed up with squandering their work, food and children for the King's nonsense.

3. That's true.
You've nailed "centrism." In the last 4 years, it has become clear to me that centrism and centrists are a bigger threat to the integrity of the Democratic Party than any Republican has ever been.

I hold firm to my resolve to never again, under any circumstances, cast a vote for a dlc/centrist/3rd way candidate, or a candidate who mirrors those positions.

Of course, I'm an unapologetic leftist.

You know, I never knew I was the "fringe left" until I came to DU. I'd always considered myself pretty moderate. I've found myself, first reclassified, and then moving further and further left as I become further and further sickened by the corrupt center. Go figure.
