I don't trust Obama at all
Edited on Wed Dec-12-07 09:45 PM by ruggerson
but, should he win the nomination, I'll not only support him, but I'll give him money and work for him.

And cross my fingers and hope that he will be faithful and committed to the constituencies who will try to elect him.

2. That's what it's about, ruggerson.
This here is like a family squabble around the holiday dinner table. In the end...we'll join forces to defeat the dastardly repuglicans come November.

3. I don't distrust him at all, I like him
I'm only worried about his chances in the south. Yes I'd be glad to work and vote for him and know many intelligent folks here in Virginia who are working for him now. Governor Kaine gave him a big boost by endorsing him, and I think it would be interesting. I remember voting for the first black governor for a state, Governor Wilder here in Virginia. It was a landmark election. I was very proud of us then. Wilder since that time, not so much. But it showed we could elect a black man in the south.

20. I like Obama's chances in the South....
his personality is not anathama to Southern taste. Plus which...guess what...a lot of the Southern vote is not the white, confed flag waving pickup truck crowd. There are even some blacks who live here!

Hillary does not stand a chance in the south. Her personality grates here. Fact.

If hillary is nominated it will come down to Ohio and Florida again.

If we are lucky, that is. It might not be that close.

Give Obama Clark as VP and there will be some Southern states in the Dem column.

6. I don't really care for Obama -
it's not that I don't trust him, it's just that I doubt whether he has the resources to get things done. However, I'll absolutely vote for him (or any of our candidates) in November.

Not saying Obama is perfect. None of the candidates is.

But I think he is sincere about wanting to make America more equal and inclusive.

I think he is trying to be straight with us on issues like America's role in the world.

If you read the speeches on his website - there IS a lot of substance in there.

I only wish he would be more open about the need to tax the rich ...

27. I curious as to why. I'm going to have a hard time pulling the lever for him
or Hillary, but I'm probably going to do it. The use of religion and the McClurkin thing makes me very concerned about where I fit in in this New America United by Faith and Hope.

I hope someone I can really get behind gets the nod.

This is definitely a monkey wrench in his campaign. When the repigs pick up on this, I'm afraid it's going to be an uphill battle for us and him.

22. Obama
is gonna be in for a rude awakening if he's the nominee. I don't think he has a clue what the Radical Regressives and their lapdog press are capable of, and I'm not confident he has what it takes to fight them back.

24. Yes, yes, yes. And so it is.
And on that November Wednesday morning I will be forgotten until needed again in 2010. But then again, by 2010 he will have warmed the cockles of so many values voters that he might even be able to drop folks like me altogether.

but a head of lettuce would be better than a Republican. If he manages to win the nomination I don't intend to spend my time or money campaigning for him, my vote next November should suffice.

33. I used to support Obama
I used to think Obama was the best man for the job. That is, until he said publicly that he'd send troops into Pakistan to go after Al-Qaeda. Anyone who has a clue what's really going on in the war on the global islamic insurgency knows how utterly stupid a statement like that truly is. I was so taken aback at his complete and utter ignorance that it tipped me towards the Hillary camp.
